The Lore
I’ll be honest — I didn’t set out to build an AI company.
For years, I was running an IT consulting business, flying between conferences, sitting through panels on digital transformation, market trends, consumer behaviour — the usual circuit. Most of it was useful. Some of it was forgettable.
But then August 2023 happened.
I was at an AI conference in Stanford — one of those events where the room is full of researchers, doctors, and technologists all trying to figure out what AI actually means for the real world. The conversations weren’t theoretical. People were talking about AI finding patterns in medical data that humans had missed for decades. About how the right model, trained on the right data, could surface an insight that changes a business — or saves a life.
I remember sitting there thinking: why are enterprises still not doing this properly?
After Stanford, I went to events by Salesforce, TechCrunch, and a few other heavyweights in San Francisco. Each one sharpened the same thought. AI wasn’t coming. It was already here. And most businesses were either ignoring it, or worse — using generic off-the-shelf tools and wondering why they weren’t getting real value out of them.
That frustration became the seed of Meii AI.
The Name
MEI comes from Tamil — it means “The Truth.”
That wasn’t an accident. When I was thinking about what we were actually building, that word kept coming back to me. Not insights. Not analytics. Not intelligence. Truth — the kind that comes from your own data, your own context, your own business reality.
Every enterprise already has the answers somewhere inside their data. They just can’t get to them fast enough, or easily enough, or without depending on a developer every single time. That’s the problem we exist to solve. And MEI — The Truth — is the standard we hold every single thing we build to.
The Opportunity
Here’s something that still surprises me: most enterprises in 2026 are still using AI that knows nothing about their business.
They plug in a general-purpose LLM, ask it a question about their operations, and get a generic answer. Then they wonder why AI isn’t delivering the ROI they were promised.
The problem isn’t AI. The problem is that off-the-shelf models were never trained on your data. They don’t know your customers, your workflows, your metrics, or what a “good month” looks like for your business. Getting them to actually work requires data ingestion, cleaning, a proper RAG pipeline, observability, prompt engineering, embedding, and evaluation — all designed carefully, all working together.
Most businesses don’t have the team to build that. And they shouldn’t have to.
The Answer
This was the question I kept coming back to: what if a business didn’t need a specialised AI team to get real value from their own data?
What if a sales manager could just ask “which accounts are at risk this quarter?” and get an answer — not a dashboard to navigate, not a ticket to raise, not a three-day wait for a report. Just an answer, in plain English, pulled from their actual business data in seconds.
That’s what Meii AI is built to do. We connect to your data sources, we build the intelligence layer on top of them, and we let your entire team — technical or not — ask the questions that actually matter.
The Vision
I want Meii AI to be the platform where any business, anywhere, can get to the truth of their data without needing a data science degree or a six-figure tech budget.
Not just big enterprises. Not just teams with engineering resources. Any business that has data — which is every business — should be able to ask it questions and get honest, accurate answers.
That’s a big vision. But the technology is finally at a point where it’s actually possible. And that’s exactly why we’re building this now.
What Meii AI Does
Conversational AI Assistant — Ask your business data questions in plain English. Get instant answers without SQL, without dashboards, without waiting.
Agentic AI — AI agents that don’t just answer questions — they plan and execute tasks across your systems autonomously. Your workflows run themselves.
No-Code Workflow Automation — The processes your team handles manually every day, automated — without writing a single line of code.
Enterprise LLM Deployment — Private, secure AI trained on your own data. Your business intelligence stays in your environment, not in a shared cloud.
Where We Are Now
Meii AI today works with 100+ enterprise teams across India, UAE, USA, and Singapore.
That number matters to me not because it’s a milestone — but because every one of those businesses had the same problem we set out to solve. Too much data. Too little access to it. Too much time lost waiting for answers that should have taken seconds.
We’re fixing that. One business at a time.
What Comes Next
I genuinely believe we’re still in the early chapters of what AI can do for enterprises. The companies building AI into how they actually operate right now — not just talking about it, not just experimenting — those are the ones that are going to be very hard to compete with in three years.
Meii AI exists to make sure that’s not just a privilege for companies with massive budgets and large tech teams.
If any of this resonates with how you’re thinking about AI in your business — I’d love to talk. Book a call with us or take a look at the platform.
